Sometimes on factory threaded barrels, the threaded part is too long and makes contact with the front of the mount before it butts up against the shoulder.
You need to get the proper shims and make it contact the shoulder or get the threaded part slightly cut and recrowned. |

I was going call the company tomorrow and see if they will ship me the correct shims but I was afraid the gap may be to big. Do you think one of the larger shims will work ok? I would ask for 2 kits as that's a decent gap. My factory AR10 barrel did the same thing but one kit was enough to shim it. Make sure you get all of the carbon build up off the muzzle as that adds to the gap. |

I think it is dried rocksett or something from the Surefire brake that was on it before. Thanks again I will call AAC tomorrow to see about some shims. |
