I just tried out my new Pro Mag magazine at the range and it was terrible. My factory mag works perfect. Every time I switched to the Pro Mag clip the gun would jam or not load a shell every 5-8 rounds. I do not recommend buying this magazine if want smooth shooting. Buy the factory mag. It does cost more, but it is worth the extra money. I also don't recommend doing business with the people I bought my mag from. I sent them an email describing the problems with the Pro Mag and they replied it was sold "as is, no returns or exchanges" , poor customer service. I don't know about you but it sound like to me they don't have any faith in the merchandise they sell. It was purchased using the auction site, gunbroker.com and the listing didn't say anything about "no returns". Just my 2 cents worth.
This is the company info. I will not ever buy anything from them again. It's not the $20, it's the poor support they give for their products.

I have a promag as well. It run 100% as well as my stock mag. I have only ever had 1 jam with mine, and that was a poorly seated bullet in the case.
Are you sure you arent somehow putting pressure on the mag? I dont think I ever touch the mag while firing, maybe the promags are more picky about being touched/handled/gripped while being shot?

snapnek,

That's a shame that they won't work with you. I've sold a few hundred of these mags and have only had one similar complaint. E-mail me and I'll replace that ProMag for you to see if it helps. Julio

I wasn't touching the mag or putting any pressure on it. It might be a defective mag, I don't know. I just wanted the people that sold it to me to make it right. I didn't think that was asking to much. I hate paying for something that don't work. I even emailed ProMag to see if they could help me and I haven't heard from them yet. I just want it to work.

DLaw, I have to admit that I've been burned by ProMags in the past but these GSG-5 mags have been solid in my opinion. They're no worse than the factory mags. In fact I’ve had more success with the ProMag GSG-5 Mags than I have with the factory mags but then again I only have 4 factory mags.

I just hated to see how someone was being treated by a vendor. That’s no way to treat someone especially since these mags have a Lifetime Warrantee. Look at how much business this company is now going to loose just because they don’t want to fix a $20 problem… That’s bad business in my opinion. It’s just a shame. Julio

I've been burned so many times by promag, I don't think I'll ever buy another one as long as I live....I've gotten to that point in my life where I'll spend more for quality...

And this is based on what ??
If you're going to bash a product please tell us why they are junk or is this just an opinion based on others reviews or from personal experience ?

I bought 4 Pro Mags for my GSG and all work FLAWLESSLY but, like anything that's mass produced I'm sure there are a few that have some flaws. If the vendor you bought these from won't warrenty them get in touch with Pro Mag directly, there's a lifetime warrenty on them and I'm sure they'll be happy to replace them...

I agree with the others, I have 6 Promags and have not had a single problem. They do have weaker springs than OEM, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. The only issues I have with loading the gsg are ammo or cleaning-related.

I'm willing to allow that ProMag MIGHT have gotten one right but the vast, and I mean VAST, majority of thier mags are worthless.
I've been burned twice by them, won't happen again till they PROVE to me they are producing quality stuff.

Julio-

I just sent you an email through the link on your site...depending on the Promag cost, I will probably pick up a few of those, as well as the single point sling simply because of your actions in this thread.

Thanks for stepping up and helping a guy out.

If you've been shooting long enough you know promag is junk. Let me tell you of my issues with promag.. 220 .45 mags both 8 and 10 rounders refused to feed right. I bought two 10 round mags for my Star Megastar 45 and they wouldn't even fit in the mag well...Then there's the AR15 mags don't want to get started on those..... Junk/Wasted money/Junk!!!

I will never give promag another dollar of my money....If you research promag you'll see others have had similar issues....

Yes most of what promag sells is junk,  Then again 90% of the time you get what you pay for,  I have  a few of the GSG progmags and they run just like the factory mags.
