This is all I have:
This is a British L1A1 based FAL rifle using a metric receiver. It is finished in a high-tech Phenol-formaldehyde resin which is very durable. The wood is an oiled hand finish that is easy to maintain. The rifle has had little use and has a clean bore and  working gas system. The upper cover has a built in Picatinny rail system which makes a very stable mount for optics.  The L1A1 steel battle sights are also included on the rifle.

Much, much more information is needed i order for the FAL-freaks here to give you anything close to a value. Who built the rifle, what parts are used, how well said rifle was built, etc....

Given the added bits(Picatinny rail, fancy finish, etc..) I'd say it was a Franken-FAL; that is to say, built with a lot of different country's parts.

$1300 is a lot of money for any FAL that isn't pre-'89 AWB.

Pass

For $1300.00 your into DSA territory, with a nice lifetime warranty
and a factory produced rifle.
This sounds like Franken FAL and the only thing youre going to get
someone elses headache

"Phenol Formaldehyde resin finish" ? WTF is that?
(they make circuit boards and pool table balls out of that stuff)

"Working gas system"? Do they also sell non working gas systems too?
I would hope for that amount of money the gas system works.

For $1300 they are also including the "L1A1 steel battle sights"?

The whole ad just reaks of bullshit
Sounds like someone trying to dump a botched Saturday afternoon project
Check out the EE here or visit DSA or Atlantic firearms or Gunsamerica etc. . . .

If i were you i'd pass on buying that rifle. You could buy a new Argentine kit from sarco, a dsa or coonan receiver and the required u.s. parts and have a brand new rifle. The fal files forum market place is a good place to find a deal as well. You could buy a very nice used rifle that was properly built or find a nice kit.
