What AR15 buffer for suppressing?

I use one with the weights removed.

From the notes of Amphibian, lower weight carriers and buffers need more gas to cycle.

With that, heavier buffers may cycle slower, but may have the carrier come back with more force.

Just my preference.

Love the JP Silent Captured Spring. ...specially for 9mm.

JP silent capture spring in both my 300blk and 9mm ARs.

I am shooting with a suppressor, I don't want to hear the spring in the buffer tube.

So it ok to run the JP either suppressed or unsuppressed?

I run an a5 system on a 10.5 inch setup with a Specwar 556. Super smooth compared to a xp carbine spring and hydraulic buffer I had before. Later I added an slr adjustable gas block and that just made it better. I might not use another adjustable gas block on my next SBR build but would, without hesitation, use the vltor a5 system on it. The difference in felt recoil for me and smoothness was dramatic.
