Hello,
I was given a large amount of powder from a friend who's dad passed. He had been a loader for years, having 3 pounds of IMR 4227 in the metal can, 8 lbs of Wincherster WSL still sealed in the 8lb plastic keg and a 1 pound keg that looks to be poured in a new day type plastic keg and labled by him and signed. He kept them in a file cabnet in the room of his house and  around 2k small and large pistol primers in a top drawer. should these be good still?
Thanks
Bob

Should be fine.  I'm still using powder & primers from the 80,s.  Do the smell test.  The stuff that was repackaged probably should be used for lawn fertilizer.

so long as they appear to have been kept cool and dry there should not be any issues.

I use older primers and powder on a regular basis.

Make sure there are no red flakes in the powder and it smells normal.

The can of relabeled powder is suspect. All depends on how much you trust the person who did the labeling.

Everything will be ok if the powder and primers were not wet. Cool and dry.

If you know what the powder is that is in the different bucket. Use it with caution. If you load it, and it doesn't go off, tear it apart and toss it.

Cool and dry like everyone said. I keep my primers in a small pelican case for that purpose. Power in original container on shelf though. No problems so far in may years.
