Out of Battery > GSG-5

Had a round go off out of battery combined with a real nasty jam. The bullet didnt make it out of the barrel and brass was flung everywhere. I promptly took it to the safe table, ran a cleaning rod and pushed the bullet out w/o incident. Anyone else have this happen, should I treat it as an isolated incident?

Glad you are ok. No issues with mine after 500 rounds.

First time hearing this problem. My buddy and I have fired more than 1000 rounds through our guns. Never had a problem of it going off or bullet jamming in the barrel. What brand of ammo were you using? Lead tip I hear builds up badly in the barrel..

it was remmy golden w/ the washed rounds. I think this was a freak occurrance. The bullet was partially down the barrel. This tells me that the round was amost in the chamber. There was a pretty nasty jam in there as well, so it could've been that the jam precipitated the oob discharge by denting the primer surface prior to being fully chambered.

I took it apart at the range and cleaned it out. I found no damage whatsoever and no halos down the barrel.

Now that I remember, it was Conju shooting it and he was using red fed bulk pack

Did you take it shootin' again yet? Speed Steel?

Yeah, it happened at speed steel while conju was shooting it. I think a jam caused it. It shot fine after the problem and after pushing the bullet out of the barrel. RO was gonna let him fire it again and I stopped it.
