I might be interested also depending on how a few things work out in the next few weeks, but hate to fill a spot and back out. What’s the recommended action here? Adco will you be getting some of these to sell?

Started on them this morning.

I don't think I have any extra M24's. I'll know once I start filing.

Appreciate the reply, Ron.  I'll keep an eye out for another run if you decide to. (or an extra from this one...)

Is it not recommended to shoot .22 through a Ops Inc 15th. Have one sitting in a drawer and wondering what to do with it.

OPs bros, I’m kicking around the idea of doing a flush fit MRE build with an AEM5.  What’s going to be the recipe for that?

Would I be better of starting with a 16” barrel?  I’ll need a collar and brake.  Any particular length collar?  I know the barrel will need to be cut, but will it need to be profiled for the collar?

@CMCtx
@unclemoak
@into_the_void

Or any other dudes with knowledge.  Thanks.

I made mine with with a 14.5.  I don't know how honestly.  I used an adco hider mount, and m4 collar.  I did move the collar forward.

Couple thousand rounds, no issues.

I did 5/8x24! I'd love some context on the newer 11/16x24 threads but it sounds like it may have more experimental for the .338 A3 design vs what was deployed on the A2.

11/16x24 is the original thread used on the A2.

Ron, this is what I currently have on my MK12. I get about 3 turns. Is this enough info for a custom collar? The goofy triangle at the bottom of the drawing is my FSB.

Also, what are the chances of another M24 run?

Thanks

Ron shipped them with crush washers, but switched to shims because recent production washers weren’t crushing the same.

I have 1 short step collar left. It will fix the problem. I may still have some M24's left from this last order. Just wanting to give people I may have missed time to respond.

Ron, I just sent you a message about getting on the M24 list (and a few other questions). I'd like to purchase one of your M24 silencers, so please add me to the customer list. Thank you!

Edit: I just read back a page and it looks like I missed out, again. I hope there's an extra one laying around.

What’s the preferred method for installing a AE muzzle break to use with an AEM5?  Shims or crush washer?

Are you guys using rocksett with both methods?

Crush washer and neither. 7.5 turns and the 700m plate says it's plenty accurate.

I finally got around to putting my AEM5 on a 12.5" barrel (still haven't found an A2 upper for the Gordon clone). The can is 8.5 turns. Is this too much? My mk12 mod 0 is a turn less.

Hey everyone,

Sorry if this has been covered somewhere in the last 78 pages, but what is the difference in size of the bullet exit hole on the front cap between the original Ops Inc 12th, AEM5, and the latest AEM5 where Ron has increased the diameter a bit to reduce the likelihood of front cap strikes?

@k31user - Do you remember exactly when you made this change?

I'm trying to figure out if the AEM5 I have in NFA jail right now is different than the one I have that was produced over a year ago.  Out of curiosity, is it possible to "special order" an AEM5 with the original spec bullet hole diameter if I promise not to send it back for a cap strike repair?  Some of us actually use bore alignment rods before blasting rounds through a freshly mounted suppressor!

End of page 66 and 67 is where the discussion is. Bore went from .265 to .275. You aren't going to tell a lick of a difference between them when shooting.
