My new OTAL-C has backwards elevation and windage adjustments. Adjusting in the U (up or clockwise) direction actually lowers the POI. R  or CW adjustment moves POI left. It is mounted on the top rail.

It does seem to track well and hold zero. It's just that it is  backwards.

Has anyone experienced this?

Are you adjusting the laser to the point of impact or the point of impact to the laser? Point of impact to the laser should give you the correct way.

I align my zeroed daytime optic with the center of the target. I see that the laser is low on the target so I adjust the laser in the Up direction but the laser then drops lower on the target. So to move the laser up to center of target, I have to adjust in the down direction.

I'm new to lasers so maybe  I'm thinking backwards on this.

Think the other way around, you are aligning the day optics(point of impact) to the laser, using the laser adjustments.Yes it seams backwards but it is not.

OK ,thanks for the response. You'd think the Steiner manual would explain that for noobs!

I had the same experience with my D2 unit.  I'm moving up thinking the group would move up, in reality U means the bullet grouping is moving down.
