Really going back in forth between buying a mac or a Norrell trigger pack for my 10/22.  Although the price difference is huge, i would love to have full auto/sbr capabilities on my favorite 10/22 build.  Are t hese things actually reliable?  Does anyone have any info on these?  Havent been able to find a whole lot of info, although i may not have been looking in the right places.  Any info/experience w/ these devices would be very much appreciated.  I would also love to see a video of one running if anyone has one of those or knows where one is.  Any info would be very helpful.  Thanks

Don't have one of my own but have shot them a lot. Most owners either swear by them (the majority) or swear at them (a very small minority). They run flawlessly if you use the right mags, and if you accept the fact that since most 10/22 mags have plastic in them, even the best-running ones will wear out. Figure on either buying mags in quantity, or else buying some of the $65 Tactical Innovations all-metal mags: The TIs require some tuning but, unlike plastic ones, once they are set up correctly they run forever.

Mag issues aside -- and you really can't blame those on Norrell or his trigger packs -- the other issue is cleaning. .22 rimfire is extraordinarily dirty-running, so be prepared to do a lot of cleaning. And if you suppress them, get a can you can take apart and clean after every single range session.

If you can deal with those two "gotchas," a full-auto 10/22 ranks right up there in the most-fun-with-yer-pants-on category. No one ever seems to have mechanical issues, they are cheap to feed and an absolute hoot to shoot.

HTH.

I have one with John's integrally suppressed barrel.  Runs great with most ammo & mags - best with CCI mini mags.  I've kept mine stock, so it looks innocent.  The Krinker Plinker or the new set-up from Rhineland look like nice options.

I also have four of these - FOUR now cost about the same as one Norrell gun (sans the Lage upper).  Richard is also working on a 22 upper.  These are doing very well at subun matches (not my thing).

I'd recommend buying the M11/9.  Buy a Lage 22 upper when they are available & you have two caliber options.  Add a better stock.  For half the cost of the Norrell, you have more gun.

Better yet, buy both! (Sorry, I couldn't help myself.)

Real easy answer is to go for the MAC if you have to decide.  The full auto 10/22 pack is for someone who already has 3 or 4 other full auto toys because the 10/22 is really a one trick pony.  With a MAC 10 or M11, you can do whatever tricks you want including running it in 22.

My Norrell 10/22 trigger pack is the favorite gun I take to the range (I also have M16, MP5, HK53, Uzi, M2 carbine, M60, TSMG, etc., so I have all the bases covered)

My Norrell sees the most rounds downrange of any gun I own. What Tony k said, I agree with. Eagle plastics or TI Al mags are the dilly. CCI minimags or strangely, Eley practice worked great in my Volquartsen cabon fiber. Use the Ruger 10 round mags as a reference point to adjust the anti-bounce plunger.

Clean it after every range session (800-1000 rounds) and it wll run.

The other problem not mentioned: mag dumps last less then 1.5 seconds.

Kids and women love shooting this gun.

I do not have a 10/22 pack but i have had good success with these high cap mags link.  I like them because you can take them apart.  I had a little problem in the beginning with them but after a few mag fulls they have been 100%.  Again, I only have a semi 10/22.

These look and sound like Eagle mags. Eagle's are what John Norrell himself recommends for his trigger "pak" - this prior to Tactical Innovations Al mags - which are also tops with no wear factor.
