Just bought a brand new hk tatical shotgun My first semi auto shotgun took it shooting today and it keeps jamming. It eaither fails to eject the shell all the way or fails to load a new one a few times it did shoot multiple rounds with out jamming or failing to feed. The shot gun came with a 2? or3 shot extension installed on it and I was using estate 2 3/4 game shot loads. Is this something simple or does it need to be serviced.

Duke,

I have no experience with the new HK semi-auto's - but I would recommend trying some full house buck and slug before anything else....... gas and recoil guns are more finicky than pumps.......

Big Duke Six,

I second that your problem is most likely the ammo you are using.

First new guns are a bit stiff until broken in.

Second is that you need some Umph to get the action back and forth. Get some name brand (Win, Fed, Rem ect... Buckshot and your problem should be solved!

Lube with a fair bit of Mil-tec and I agree with the above.

Pattern the "Big Three" ammo makers offerings in the load you want and see which performs best.

I have an HK FP6 Pump shotgun and I was having some problems with the shells going into the chamber when pumping, and so was a buddy that has the same gun. He just used a dremel tool and smoothed out the area between the mag. and the barrel so there was not any rough edges and he said it works good now. Also it seems that HK magazine springs are very tight when you get them so I left mine loaded up for a few days to loosen it up some and that also made mine load much better.
