Thanks. Hopefully I'll be in the market this time next year (or before). That price point (assuming good resolution) is VERY appealing.

Very cool unit, thanks for showing off what it can do. Looking forward to see what the 640s can offer and industry guys- please pass on that there is a market for a AA battery variant due to this new generations better battery efficiency. You want folks to upgrade to the new tech that would be a huge feature to push them as that would keep supply work simpler and the sacrifice in battery life is not as bad as past generations of thermal tech.
Link Posted: 8/2/2017 1:35:05 AM EST
Would it be safe to assume the 640's will be priced approximately double so in the $4,200 ballpark or am I off?
Link Posted: 8/2/2017 8:01:28 AM EST
^^ That's what I want to know... Am ready to buy a XP50, but might be persuaded to wait..

Does this scope allow for multiple weapon profiles so we can switch between weapons?

They can't give you any technical info yet, let alone personal experience from a subject matter expert. In fact, they don't even have pics of this unit on their website yet so, what gives? Why are we losing your business to them?

While it was an incredibly shitty thing of @bpacman to let you field his questions and then give his business to a competitor, you are wrong about the price. It's 1979.10 at Optics Planet using their site-wide coupon. And free return shipping if, for literally any reason, he decides he does not wish to keep it.

$219 isn't enough to give me a warm fuzzy feeling about dealing with a drop-ship, no-nothing company like OP, but there are just some shoppers who are chasing the mighty bottom dollar.

$219 cheaper? Damn

Time for some price matching.

Douche move, but 10% is 10%. (FWIW, if I were in the market right this second, I'd buy from NGI due to availability)

I sincerely apologize. I had no idea this was a Vendor initiated posting. I am new to Thermal Sights and have just done some basic research. I did go for the 10% off sale they had today. I admit, it was a douche move and I will be more mindful in the future.

Good on you for coming back and apologizing. Buying from someone else wasnt the douche move. We all thought you knew and were being a jerk to be a jerk. Now that we realize that isn't the case, I think we all agree it wasn't a douche move. Apologies for the misunderstanding.

I still feel like shit for my mistake. It is a piss poor consolation, but I still need to buy their External Battery. I looked on NGI's website and did not find one. I am in no hurry to buy so if they do get some of these, I would appreciate the opportunity to buy from them.

The only thing I don't understand is why you are apologizing for saving YOUR money.  This discussion occurring on a vendor initiated thread doesn't mean anyone owes the vendor anything.

Or has cronyism replaced capitalism on ARFcom?

I feel like I'm owed some video through the scope...these delays are making me triggered.

So you can't run a USB power pack through that port like you can the RXQ30V?

Will the USB port allow you to connect any standard USB external battery or is the connection going to be proprietary to FLIR?

Any USB battery pack shoudl work. Just have to use a standard USB-C cable.

I'll wait for NGI_Tom's reply as a definitive answer since FLIR has been known to go the proprietary route before.

You're probably going to sell every one of these you get for a while.

I know I'm good for one, and I know who I'm ordering it from.

From what we've been shown here, it's clear this is thermal finally making it's arrival on the same sort of price plane as I^2. At least half the year I can hop in the truck and go shoot at night any day of the week I want, so this is pretty exciting.
