Could someone tell me how to remove the forearm on a pump shotgun ? It's a Mav.88

hello. if you are talking about just the forearm grip and not the whole forearm assembly with the guide rods, then it can be easy. first step is to make sure the gun is unloaded! next, remove the barrel by unscrewing the knurled knob on top of the magazine tube. pull the barrel out. now rack the slide all the way open. put the receiver between your legs and grab the magazine tubes with both hands and see if it will twist out of the receiver. ( counter-clockwise ). if it comes out, you are in luck. if it wont, take a block of wood and strike the top of the magazine tube forcefully with the buttstock firmly on the ground. alot of times this will break it loose. if it comes off, you then will see a hollow nut with 2 slots cut into it holding the forearm on. there is a special tool that looks like a big T, that fits inside the slide to turn it off. you can also use a big screw driver or a flat skinny bar to grab both cut-outs.  

now if none of that works, you will have to completely dis-assemble the action in order to get the forearm off.   kirk
