I just picked up this Stevens 320 security pump at a great price and so far 100 rounds threw it in an afternoon and not one hiccup. it has no sights on it except a bead on the front. I want to put a picatinny rail on top of the reciever but there are no holes drilled or taped for one in it. Whats your suggestions on putting my own on there and how would you go about it? think its worth doing? I can add iron sights to it I have done that before I just never added a rail to a receiver that didnt have mounting holes before. I really want to threw a small dot on. heres the gun.

Supposed to be a winchester 1300 copy so the saddle style mounts may work. Google 1300 scope mounts.
I would caution against any of the cheap airsoft style red dots as there life expentency on a 12guage is
going to be VERY short. The cheapest one I can think of that will survive more  than a couple of boxes
shells would be a Fast Fire. A 50.00 dollar mount and a 200.00 Fast Fire is getting pretty close to what
you paid for the gun. A fiber optic front bead is almost as fast and a whole lot cheaper.

Thanks I will give it a try. I have an extra Aimpoint H1 that I was going to put on it. or the fast fire.. both are good for it I think I will try and look for the winchester mount. Otherwise I will attempt to drill and tap the reciever. If I mess it up O well it was a cheap gun anyways,.
