She is a 1944 and from the IZHEVSK factory. The gun has the same matching serial number thruout. Nice hammer and sickle on metal. Not a bad find at the local gun show for a hundered bucks. I think she is in great condition- judge for yourself.

Gun show at the VFW hall in Dale City, VA. The guy had a bunch of them.

The vendor was Mtn. Dave's and he made a point of telling me he WILL be at the Nations show in Dulles this weekend.

+1 For Mtn. Dave. Pretty good selection, plus he and his wife are very friendly people to deal with. I just bought an all matching M44 from him this morning at the Dulles show. |

I just got back from the Dulles show. I found that vendor. Unfortunately, he was very overpriced. His M38s ran from $13X to about $15X. He also had some beat up K31s he was selling for $150. I ended up buying a K31 from someone else.

Very nice rifle. Congrats. Nice find. I found its twin at a pawn shop for $120 OTD a few mo ago.
