Gorgeous MAS 49/56... true to their rep, looks nearly unfired and only one ding in the stock from having been dropped!

These are nice rifles.  I have two of them.  Enjoy.

I got one of those some years back that had been arsenal converted to .308/NATO 7.62x51 and had a slide on rubber recoil glued on over the butt plate.I was shooting it and the hammer dropped without the bolt being completely forward, when I hit the operating handle with the heel of my hand it slam fired and the handle hit my hand before I could get it out of the way,DAMM THAT HURT! The gun looks ok but I haven't fired it since. Is yours a 7.5 ?

SOG has new production 7.5 French. I bought a couple of boxes, and it seems to run OK in my MAS 36.

$8.95 for a 20 rds.

Patrick, I bought this from an individual.  They are available on the various auction sites and I believe I saw some on the C&R boards like cruffler.com.

$8.95 a box of 20... ouch!  I won't be shooting it much.

Now that the Frontier brass is available it is easy and cheap to reload for these.  Grafs and Huntingtons among others has this brass.

For safeties sake you should use the #34 CCI hard military primers.

The hard part is finding the spent cases so that you can reload them.
