"Parkerizing (also called phosphating and phosphatizing) is a method of protecting a steel surface from corrosion and increasing its resistance to wear..." Aluminum is anodized. buckmeister |
Aluminum cannot be parkerized (phosphated). You can blast the aluminum with aluminum oxide or nickel slag and refinish with GunKote or Molyresin. The steel parts can be parkerized, but you can do the same finish with the Gunkote to the steel parts as well. The Gunkote will adhere better to the parkerized surface. |

That is NOT the condition of the typical arfcom gun! That thing's been used and abused more than a $5 hooker! Strip it down completely, blast it clean, Durakoat it, put a nice stock set on it. You can have a nice little HD-type shotgun for only a couple hundred bucks. |
