I'm pretty sure it depends on the manufacture and the can.
The only two .50 BMG cans I know of are SWR and Ops Inc. Neither lists the thread spec so I'm pretty sure it's different for each can. |

I know the AR-50 is weird thread for the muzzle brake and requires factory removal of the brake or it voids the warrenty.

I believe it's 1"-12, better to call Barrett and ask. If they ask why, tell them that you want to put a suppressor on it.

50_Shooter... your numbers are the closest to the only other thread pattern info i've found on the web - somewhere, and i don't remember where, i saw 1"-14.

The AR-50 is 1/14 thread which is pretty common. The other most used is 1/12. As for the warranty, I think about anything will void Armalite's warranty other than exposure to air.
