How much would it cost to have people move your safe.
I will be starting my full-time job this summer and I need a safe. I was curious how much it woul cost to move a safe if I was transferred to another location. My company is payng for relocation, but for example, lets just say they wouldnt pay to relocate it. I know the costs all depends on the distance, so what do you do? Sell the safe locally and buy a new one? Please tell me some of your experiences with moving gun safes. |

This is covered repeatedly here. Cost range from $0-$1000 for a single floor install depending on height, weight, distance, steps, and amount of beer you supply. A true safe with serious weight costs more. Stairs cost more. Do a google search like this one.. Google Search - ar15.com cost move safe
I moved my 1500 lb safe from one house to another in the back of my pickup for free with 2 guys. Well it did cost lunch and a beverage. |

Usually they charge about $150/hr while its moving, while it's in the truck its a delivery charge. So the location of the safe is important. It would be much different moving a safe from a house to a house both on the first floor. If you have to go up a flight of steps it will get trickier.

If so, I can probably give you some referrals. I am in BCS and will be moving to Waco for my full time job. I have not purchased a safe yet so I don't need a moving service right now. I just wanted to have an idea of the cost incase I ever get relocated. Thanks for the offer though! |
