I recently picked up a stripped Stag lower. Just noticed that the safety selector hole didn't get totally finished - I can see a spot of bare metal in the hole. Is this something I should fix before building up the rifle, or not worry about it? What would be a quick fix for something like this?

Don't worry about it.  Even if you cover it over, it won't be visible if I understand your question.

Thanks - I wasn't sure if the finish was critical in preventing wear in this area of the receiver or this was just a cosmetic issue that would be covered by the pin upon assembly. Sounds like it's just cosmetic.

if the anodizing is gone in that area it is not quite as resistant to wear in that one spot as compared to the rest of the anodized lower. Thankfully the safety sees minimal (if any) real stress.
