The MUM's do not have a threaded lenses like the PVS-14, but there is a slip on adapter that is made for the MUM's that allow for threaded lenses. Anything more than 5x would be too heavy I feel and cause substantial light loss. Hope this helps. Vic |

That makes sense. Thanx for the reply. I got my mini 14 from you guys...I love it.
So does the 5x lose more light than the 3x? |

Indeed it will, the 14's only have a 26mm objective so as you increase the magnification your going to loose light. Thus the great reason why the D-760 or 740's dedicated rifle scopes run so well due to thier large objective glass among other things!
