My Marlin bolt action trigger is horrible. HEAVY,. Who works on these triggers?

first thing to do is replace the trigger return spring, it should come out with the trigger guard/trigger. replace with a ball point pen spring.
then go over to http://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums/

to get further trigger mods, from the Marlin string...

That's the route I went, pretty easy to install and nice.

Most trigger work isn't terribly hard to do, especially on rimfires which typically(IME) have a lot of stampings. All it should really take is a very light stoning of the engagement surfaces to clean up any burrs or rough edges, and then a dab of non-teflon/non-moly grease.

Moly and teflon based greases or oils can allow the sear to slip even when there is plenty of engagement surface, which is why you don't want it on engagement surfaces.
