Hi folks.  I am applying for an FFL and was considering using an existing entity.  I must use a physical address for registered agent, which I have in place.  One of the issues I have is past filings.  It has my personal home address for principal.  I'm thinking I should just create another LLC at this point and pay $125 instead of using that old LLC with old filings that show my home address.  What think ye all?

ETA: thinking of using UPS store for mailing address.  Is PO box better?

ETA II:  I think PO box is best for mailing address for filer, use friend's firm address for registered agent.  All firearms will ship to my physical address,  The box is simply needed for business address.  Probably will only get junk mail from people trying to sell me something anyway.

Do ups. Can't ship firearms to PO. You can use your mailing address as a backup

If you do transfers, you will end up with firearms being sent to your PO Box whether you like it or not.

My town does not deliver mail to addresses anymore.. so you must have a PO box to get mail.. they take everything..

The postmaster has gotten to know me and my pending FFL.. so they know I will be shipping out with them..

I don't think receiving occasional thru them (USPS) will be an issue..

I will push people to ship via UPS/Fed Ex to me at my street address.. but like you said you know how this is gonna go in the end..
(most FFL's like to ship with USPS as its cheaper)..

The transfers will come to my home address.  I was speaking of my LLC filing information.

Rarely if ever.
Nearly every dealer, distributor and manufacturer in America will ship to the premises address by default.
On the off chance that someone does send a package to a PO Box............well guess where the OP picks up his mail?
UPS/FedEx do not deliver to P.O Boxes either.

It isn't that hard to mark your FFL with a big giant red arrow "SHIP TO THIS ADDRESS ----------->    "

OP is overthinking this.

My purpose is shielding my home-based FFL business from scrutiny in public records.
