Which brands of magazines will work with the Fs2000 and which should be avoided? Thank you for your help.

Go with standard USGI aluminum mags.

USGI such as C products, Colt, D&H are best.

PMAGs don;t work well in the FS2000 because of the tight fit.

Stay Gov't contract and you'll be golden.

The ABSOLUTE best Ar mags I have ever encountered "which will work in the fn2000, which eliminates pmags"  are the HK 416 mags that are STEEL.. my son was issued a set of these in Iraq and brought me back a few, they have improved followers, they are very well made, and he nor I have ever had one jam yet. a bit expensive at $49 each, but they are worth it.. Fill up your Blackhawk/eage vest for about $400, but your set on your mags.

I am looking for some good 20 rounders - do the H&K come in 20's?
The 20's are better for bench shooting

Yes, but they're rare.  Check out 44MAG linked above in the vendor's row.  He's got all sorts of goodness (just mabe not in stock right now) that you can buy including D&H 20 rd mags, and with all sorts of options.

I had to take mine apart to get the PMag out.

On the bright side, it needed to be cleaned anyway.

The USGi magazines really are the best operating system for the FS2000 when cost and common sense is a factor.

I have the new Hk maritime magazines and they are a true masterpiece in construction and ultimate quality which i originally bought for both my FS 2000's.  Honestly if i was going to do it all over again i would have just got black D&H teflon in 30's for 12.00 ea. and there would have been no difference in total operation.   KISS Rules always......

Anyone ever try one fo the FN FNC/FS2000 STANAG magazines?  Cost seems about the same as an HK mag, so they might not even be worth it.

I know the magazines issued by FNH for the FS 2000 is your basic D&H 30 rd. magazine.  I was looking at mine and the magazines were identical and shared the same cage code.  The only difference was the bottom floor plate has the FN stamp as D&H will stamp your name on the suckers in you buy a 5000 unit lot of the buggers. I read on a post last year on this issue as many small end companies use DH for supply.

Weird.  FN makes an all steel STANAG magazine for the FNC.  CMMG and Natchez Shooter Supply both carry them.  Price point is about the same as an HK mag, so I can imagine that's why they aren't including them with FS2000s.

The H&K maritime magazine is the better deal that the steel FN magazine. H&K mags look rocket proof damm near and the quality of the stamping and seamless weld are perfect.

Someone is still trying to sucker the public in paying preban prices for a premium brand and basic magazine.  Back when i owned a FNC para 18" i had several of the magazines and they were no big deal, just a fancy dancy blue/black mag. I guess if you can supply your gun with a domestic high quality magazine and escape import taxes and keep the profit margin higher and market an idea of an FNC magazine and white wash the public in the idea its better for you to spend 40 bucks for a over priced magazine that has been in storage for ten years.  The magazines are just the tip of ice berg when you see how much FNH wants for a PS90 cleaning kit which can be found anywhere for 15 clams and FN wants 80.00 bucks for their TM marked bag of tricks.....You have to shop around and cut the bs and enjoy a good laugh at all the brain wash and marketing deception out there.
