Im in the market for an M-1 carbine.  I know next to nothing about these rifles.  I need one to compliment my garands and springfields.  Needs to be USGI.  Other than that im not too particular.  Its going to be shot, not strictly a safe queen.  What should I look out for?  Any particular makers to avoid?  Whats a fair price?

Late Inlands are good shooters because Inland made so many of them. They aren't rare either so you should be able to get one at a fair price. The CMP has some good Carbines if you can qualify to buy one. Just be sure the barrel is good on any Carbine you buy. Good Luck  !!!!

This is my Inland house gun........
