All,

I've had a few range sessions with the MPX with Telescoping Stock, and after each range session I'm unable to retract the stock.  After I get home,  I adjust the set screw such that I'm able to retract.  I've been adjusting the inner set screw such that the button can be depressed and is flush, I then torque down the outer set screw against inner set screw.   Obviously I'm doing something wrong with the set screw because the stock has always been stuck extended at the end of each session.

So... Are you folks using thread locker on your set screws... Inner and outer? If so,  which one? Any other advice with the set screws?

Thanks

I'm getting sick of having the same issue, going to throw threadlock on the inner screw and leave it in there rather loose.

The Tele Stock comes with 2 set screws...one being shorter than the other.  Factory fresh...I was able to install the longer set screw into the threaded hole and adjust then re-install the shorter set screw and torque down.  After about 5 range sessions, I have to adjust the longer set screw such that there are about 2 threads showing on the threaded hole and I'm now unable to re-install the shorter set screw....so only the longer set screw is in the tele stock.  Unsure of the function of the second set screw.  Anyway...I think I'm gonna take the stock apart and see whats going on.

OP, I had the same problem and was getting pretty frustrated.  It would seem that the outer set screw should lock down the inner screw securely but it simply wasn't working.  After every single range session, the stock was locked so I had to disassemble, fiddle with and readjust those dumb screws over and over.

I got tired of dicking around with it and simply removed the outer screw, and used blue loctite to fix the inner screw where I wanted it.  No problems after the next shooting session, with the stock remaining fulling functional afterward.  I considered re-installing the outer screw, but it never did anything to begin with, so I don't know what purpose it would serve now if I used it.

I had the same problem and stripped the threads trying to fix it. Sig shipped me the new parts fast enough. Some blue loctite fixed the problem from happening again.
