My MP5 has the SEF lower and I want to change it to the pictogram lower.  Can I just buy a pictogram lower and selector levers and drop my trigger pack into it?  Or do I have to buy new trigger pack also?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

SEF packs are not compatible with the ambi picto lowers and selector levers. You would have to purchase a ambi pack.

This.

You are going to be into it for well over $600 if you get a true HK pack and frame.
If you want to spend less, you might look at an SEF ambi frame, which your pack will drop straight into here. Not a pictogram, I know, but it's a nice compromise if you don't want to dump $$$$.

That is not an ambi frame. HK never manufactuerd SEF ambi trigger groups. That frame is probably what the original poster has already.

It's ambi in that it can be held in the left or right hand without having the standard right-handed SEF thumb groove interfere with the grip of a left-hander. I said nothing about selectors did I?
When someone says that they have an SEF frame, I assume the grooved frame, since they are so common.

When people say ambi packs most think of ambidextrous selectors

I understand this. I deal with these pretty often.

My reply was in consideration of what df662 said in  his initial reply. I thought it was understood that an SEF pack does not have an ambi selector. With that in mind, alot of people still want the straight-grip look of the smooth-sided newer SEF frames, but they don't want to spend another $600+ for a new pack.
That's why I offered what I did. Maybe I jumped ahead too much.

Sorry.

This is a after market part made by one of the better US HK gunsmiths.
