For those who have an MP5 with a select fire trigger group, would you need to fill out two Form4's since the NFA item is both an SBR and a select fire weapon?  Or do you just need to fill out one Form4 since the ATF labels it a MG?

1 tax as it is a MG.  If it was a registered sear gun and you took the sear out, you need to take the stock off to prevent an SBR.

Just to add, it could also be one stamp for the sear, if it is a sear gun, and the host could be a pistol. So when you take the sear out to move it to another host, you'd have to remove the stock and any foregrips if you had them, making the host back into a pistol.

If it started as a cut down 94, this will not work. It's OK to remove the sear for cleaning and such but if you move it to a differrent host, you had better have the original papered as a SBR.

This is how my MP5K works, take the sear out and you have to loose the stock and verical front grip. Its just a pistol until you put the evil little piece of metal in it
