I was wanting the 32inch heavy barrel, but they only have one in stock and its the 29 inch fluted barrel I believe.  Would there be much difference if any in the accuracy of either one?  I'm new to the 50 bmg game, could anyone tell me the most accurate gun in the $4000 and under price range?
Thanks

amoyers,

You should check out the Barrett Rifles Forum - I know Chris Barrett (Ron Barretts son) has had several discussions regarding these questions...long story short - the most accurate model that Barrett offers is the Model 99 w/32" barrel. This is in the $4,000.00 or less range you're wanting.

my $0.02

Thanks for the reply, I figured the 32 inch would be somewhat more accurate, but does anyone have an answer for the other question?  Any other rifles up to par with the M99 or better as far as accuracy goes in the same price range?

Is the Cobb BA50 capable of sub MOA accuracy with match ammo?  I found one for a little less than the M99 and was wondering if it is as good or better in terms of accuracy?
Thanks

I have the 29" fluted barrel and personally I thick it looks alot better than the 32" bull barrel. I doubt that you can shoot good enough to see a difference in the two.
