[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Light Mounting

Hey folks, I recently bought a light of OK quality for my .45 Carbine, but the one I bought comes out flush with the barrel when mounted. How much torture is a light in that situation exposed to? I am worried, that this will cause the light to fail. It is Xenon bulbed and not LED.

Any comments?

What brand of rifle do you have? 45 Carbine is too vague.

Do you have any pics.

It is one of the new versions of the high point carbine. In addition to my full up AR I wanted a low cost carbine for my wife to start to become familiar with the idea of defending the home. Later i may upgrade her if she takes to it.

Mount it on the hand guard area.

Now what brand of light do you have?
