this looks like it would be a good way to run my mags, however i don't want to drop $160 on this, is there anyone else who makes something similar? |
| well i was buying a lot of stuff from SKD who was out of stock on the Mayflower pocket. i went with the PIG Kangaroo Pouch instead, got 3 of them and i'll see how they work. anyone use these before? |
|
another option that I did for my Eagle carrier was using a BFG dapper pouch, cut down to 2 AR mags. The reason for cutting down was because 3 magazines wouldnt fit in the opening. It was an easy experiment since I had a dapper pouch already, and wasn't too concerned with cutting it.

From the looks of it, it should not be too hard since it kind of keeps the pocket open. I am going to order the PIG ones today, so we will see. I will also stet them in the Banshee. yeah i think it would be pretty easy with the LBT or mayflower types, but the BFG ten speed dapper one would be harder since the pouch lays completely flat when your done |

Does anyone know if the Mayflower R&C insert will fit the Shellback Banshee? Anyone know of any inserts that fit the Banshee? It's not too bad actually. It does require two hands, just like all the BFG ten speed pouches though. I find it nice when I want to run a 'slick' carrier. Otherwise i usually have a triple ten-speed on the front of the pouch and haven't had a problem so far. |

Here's another picture with the triple ten speed on the front with 20 rounders in a cut-down BFG dapper pouch inside the kangaroo pocket. Hope this helps! Both the London Bridge and the Mayflower work in the Eagle Plate Carrier and the Eagle Scalable Plate Carrier. have you tried this? i just tried fitting 3 mags into my Eagle PC kangaroo flap and they dont fit... the LBT-6094s flap is 8 columns wide, the EPC and SPC have only 6. it looks like im gonna have to go with the BFG ten speed. |

I do not believe the LBT or the mayflower will work in the SPC. just by looking at the rows of MOLLE, it doesn't even come close. I definitely can't fit 3 PMAGs into my pouch, even without the dapper. |

I will have 2 of the PIG inserts here on Mon or Tues, and I will show how they work in the 3 PCs I have. A PIG, Banshee, and Eagle NSW. yay! im thinking of getting the PIG inserts as well just for ease of inserting mags vs the ten speed. hmm, or i could buy both. |

I have used it in the Eagle Plate Carrier with the removable cummerbund that comes with the FSBE kit but not the SPC. Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the pockets pretty much the same size? You have to roll the end seam of the LBT to lay flat along the sides. 3 X GI mags will work. Magpul mags are a bit tight and won't pull out quickly. I used to have one in my kangaroo pouch when I ran GI mags with Magpul ranger plates. The Mayflower pouch is about the same size. |

Ok, I got the PIG kangaroos in today, and here is how they for in a few different PC's. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v280/jinx667/DSC00655.jpg PIG: Perfect fit, as expected. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v280/jinx667/DSC00656.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v280/jinx667/DSC00657.jpg Banshee, you can fit 2, no problem. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v280/jinx667/DSC00658.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v280/jinx667/DSC00661.jpg Eagle NSW PC: Enough room for 3 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v280/jinx667/DSC00662.jpg that eagle NSW has 8 columns for the flap so i think 2 will fit in my standard Eagle PC. thanks! |
