I got a problem with my sight on my German K98 mauser everytime i fire it the rear sight adjustment moves forward. What im trying to do is take it off to replace it and i cannot see how to remove it. Can anyone tell me what im missing to take this thing off?

need an finishing nail or very small punch in front of the side of the rear sight is a pin. Drive it out from left to right as you look down the barrel. Then take an screw driver and push down and pull back on the sight it-self. Should come out. Just revise the above to reinstall.

The following site is for replacing the sight with a Mojo, but it has pics and instructions on the original sight removal.

I replaced my M48 with the Mojo. Now all adjustments are done at the rear sight.

My K98 both German and Yugo didn't have the pin in the rear sight. I was held in place by a leaf spring. All i had to do was push down kinda hard on the front of the site by the pins and pull back and it came off.
