Ok, I know this is a little out in left field, but please hang with me.  I was intending to take my son on his very first trip to the shooting range.  The .22 I was going to use has a broken bolt operating handle, but I got the replacement part from Numrich.  The real problem is I can't figure out how to get the bolt out of the receiver.  It's a J.C. Higgins Model 31 (a High Standard sold by Sears about 40 years ago).

Help!

Try pulling trigger and hold it back while removing bolt. That's how a lot of .22's disassemble. (MAKE SURE GUN IS UNLOADED!)
