Alright.  I already posted this in the Lights and Lasers section under AR, but figured I'd cross post here as it seems quite a few of you guys have the Inforce WML IR as a helmet light, which is what I was hoping to use it for.

I have no idea what I'm doing wrong here, so hopefully somebody can share their experiences with me.

So, I have an Inforce WML IR, model #INF-WML-F-WIR.  I purchased this as a helmet light for my NVG setup.

Being that it's a helmet mounted light, I wanted to switch the high/low priority to a first click low, second click high priority as this would primarily be used for up close stuff (I have an IR Illuminator on my ATPIAL-C for the longer range stuff).  Did some searching and found this video on Youtube.  It was produced by Inforce to demo the light, so I highly doubt the information is wrong.  Fast forward to the 0:40 mark for the relevant portion.

After doing this, the light should be in the setup that I desired, both white light and IR.

So, I got my first WML from DSG roughly a week ago.  Followed the directions in that video to change the light intensity priority, and I ended up with a bricked light that only puts out IR, whether the selector switch is in the "White Light" or "IR" position.  No way to get white light out of it other than the strobe.  Nothing I do, including re-accomplishing the steps in the Inforce video will get my white light back.  This is all demonstrated in the video I just took below.

Now the video just posted above is actually of my second light.  After I had the issue with the first WML, I immediately contact Inforce.  They were super easy to deal with, literally a 2 minute phone conversation, and they said they had a new one out in the mail to me.  Fast forward a week, just got home from a range trip and found the package on my door with my new WML.  Well, first thing I do when I take it out of the package is try to change the priority as I was told the light must have malfunctioned.

Well, this one is now stuck in IR mode too.  I don't know what the hell.  Basically, I would figure if Inforce is demonstrating the procedure in their very own demo video, that procedure shouldn't brick the light.  Any ideas to get my white light back?  I'm truthfully about done with this Inforce and ready to just pick up an X300V.

Sell it to me cheap? I wouldn't mind an IR only WML!
