I am going to install my AAC Brake to mount my M4-2000 tonight.

I see that it comes with shims.

Do I just tighten it up then start adding shims till it is straight??
I assume you are supposed to only use 1 shim at a time??
What is the torq spec?

Thanks

Play mix and match with the shims until it's a few degrees back from 12:00 TDC when hand tight.

Add rockset and wrench it on to TDC and let it sit 24 hours and you should be good.

I believe the shims are different thicknesses. so figure out which one you need to time you muzzle break correctly, or you might not need any at all. Thread on the muzzle break first and see where you need it. I would torque it snug like any other flash hider.

There is currently the Blackout Flash Hider, which is the 3-prong that you have. There is also a brake. They have just started production on a Brakeout, which is a combination brake/flash hider. This is the item that has not bee released yet, IIRC.

Here's a pic of the new Brakeout. Thought I saw a picture that showed all three mounting options, but can't find it....
