Just a few weeks after I decide to plop down 1400 bucks on a vector 53 pistol now they decide to make a vector 51 pistol in 308 that costs 400 bucks less AAARRRGGGG!!!!!!!! I would have really rather had a 51 that freaking figures!

That's both stupid and cool. I want one for no good reason.
Make a B model and Vector can have my soul and firstborn. ETA: And how come nobody ever did up a HK53B? That seems about as difficult as a HK51B. mmmmm....belt fed rifle MP5 sized weapon. |

+1000 I want one too! There will always be naysayers... How many guns do you have to own before its OK to have something not practical? How many people tell ferrari owners that their cars need too much maintenance and are just stupid?

For what it is worth, I enjoy shooting my HK53 just as well as my HK51. I think you should keep the V53.

You want a REAL .308 pistol? Look for a Pachmeyer "Dominator". A 14 inch barrel on a 1911 frame. Single shot. Enough recoil to rattle your cage, lose friends and agravate artheritis. Anything else is a toy! (I eventually traded mine...artheritis).
