....to someone in another state who provides me with their FFL, do I need to send them a copy of my C&R license with the rifle?  The reason I ask, is because 2 rifles which I purchased with my C&R had included with them the previous owners C&R licenses.

It's not legally required but would be a courtesy to the receiving FFL  He will need the information to enter in his bound book.  An actual copy of the license would be the best source for that information.
