Just bought an old Wingmaster, need help to determine how old it is. ...

Serial number is 11951xxN
12 guage 3" Magnum with a full choke, 30 inch barrel
walnut furniture and a recoil pad
Stamped with a "R" and a "G" and what looks like a horseshoe with a closed end

edit for barrel length

IIRC all "Magnum" 870 receivers have an "M" at the end of the serial number. You can put a 3" chambered barrel on a non-magnum receiver but 3" shells will not cycle.

I am not 100% sure so maybe someone else can either confirm or call me a moron

Maybe THIS will help

My bad it is and "M"..got the magnifying glass out.

Using that link it looks like it could be a November of 1960.

I'll get a hold of Remington on Monday

Thanks for your help
