Bren is unique compared to .308 AR and uses 5.56 rather than exotic 5.7

I voted bren, but it really depends on what you already have. If you have other semi .308s then I change my vote to the FN.

PS90. I still need to get my hands on one, but I have the 57 pistol and ar57. I really like this round out of all lengths of barrels.

EDIT: If you want an overall shorter 308, just do a bullpup. i.e. keltec rfb.
