What's the current status on the Serbu Semi...?

I wish I knew , on a couple of other forums it's still testing, the site says end of 06
that's 3 months. I would be surprised.  That looks like a real nice rifle for $5000.

I have never head of a member here or any other forum that has the windrunner
semi, have you heard any feed back on those at all? Damn 40 pounds with out mag
or scope. The price of $8000 is within reason though.

The EDM semi is still in the testing/evaluating stage, don't think any have left the factory.

Serbu is also coming out with his semi www.serbu.com 50 CAL who's a moderator here also works at Serbu.

Mark is testing the semi now and he says that after a couple years of tweaking it "should" be out around the first of the year + 2 weeks.

Also Mark said the price for the Serbu should be around $3000, not the $5000 origionally anticipated.

If it turns out that that will truely be the price point then I'll also invest in a bolt-action as well.

i can vouch for EDM quality and attention to every detail.  i cannot say what the semi auto is like.  after several conversations with Bill Ritchie, i'd say you would be well taken care of.

i love my rig.

You sure about that?  The last I heard from Mark, on his forum, what that $5000 was still target for the semi.

He did mention 2 bolt-action versions built on the semi-platform for around $3500 and $4000.

At $5000 is still nice for a semi. And from what I read about this on other boards it's going to be worth every penny
