So here is a pic of my one and only AR. As you can see the "curtains don't match the carpet" with regards to the upper and lower. I built the lower from an 80% receiver (this was before there were off list lowers, I'm in CA). I finished the lower with Aluma Hyde dark parkerizing gray thinking it would be a good match. It wasn't. Now, I'm more of a "form follows function" kind of guy, but you can't really tell in the pic but it looks like Shamu!  So, here are my options: 1. Get some Aluma Hyde matte black and redo it. 2. Buy an new, already finished lower and use the gray one for a varmint/pinestraw build.  3. Leave it, who cares what it looks like.  Poll inbound. |
