Went to an antique gun show this weekend, and saw some really neat stuff.

One guy had a few small cases with vintage Lyman, Redfield, Williams & Mossberg sights. I ended up buying one of the Mossbergs (a S331 Peep / Receiver sight), but there was one in the case that caught my eye. I am seriously kicking myself in the ass for not buying it.

What made it catch my eye, was the style of the sight. Instead of having a flat scale on the outside side, it had a big round knob, that looked exactly like the dial on a locker combination lock. I am not sure if this is what made the elevation adjustments or not, but it looked it. It was a very large and bulky sight, so I didn't think to look at it as I didn't have anything to put it on. The fact that it was so unique and unusual should have made me at least inquire about it.

I have tried looking on Google for the sight and came up dry, so I figured I'd ask you guys. I tried all the companies I could think of, Parker Hale, Lyman, Redfield, Marble, Williams, Star. I even just tried looking for "vintage receiver sights" to see if anything similar would pop up, but alas, nothing.

I do have a small glimmer of hope though. The gentleman I bought the sight from is supposed to be mailing me the mounting screws to the S331 sight I bought, as he couldn't locate them in the stuff he had with him. I am hoping he does mail them, then using his return address, I can send him a letter asking about the sight and give him a number to call me on. That is, if one of you folks don't nail it first.

Anyways, any help you guys could provide would be appreciated.

Thanks!

OP, based on the highlighted portion, I suggest you try googling Wittek and/or Wittek-Vaver.

You got it bud

I cross posted the question on another forum and got the same answer, and that is correct. That sight is what I saw.
