I recently purchased an ACH that had the "ears" trimmed to a 2001 style helmet. The cuts are very neat and I am filling the modified area with epoxy. My question is. Does anyone know where to get the extruded neoprene rubber trim for the edges/ bottom of the helmet? I have googled it using different key words and have found nothing. Any help would be appreciated

I found a bunch of sources at one point searching u channel rubber extrusions.  Problem is the quantity usually has to be quite large to order from a manufacturer.  I'd see if one of the manufacturers would be willing to sell you scraps.  Some offer samples of their products, but asking for them for your intended purpose would be a bit disingenuous IMO.  If I were doing a helmet mod right now, I'd just use bedliner.

Good to know. I came up with a bunch of mfg's and figured I'd have to order from them in bulk, but never thought of asking for scrap. I was hoping to find a distributor or a retailer, this may be my best bet. Thanks rides!

Try and auto supply store, ask for door edge molding.

If not, try McMaster-Carr - rubber only

Rubber with metal core insert

which looks like the stuff we use on our fiberglass fire helmets. Looks like they're available in shorter lengths.

The rubber is available in 10' lengths as is the metal core version.

Nice one Tango. I completely forgot about McMaster Carr. I usually just order stuff for work from them and I forgot they carry a ton of different stuff
