You may have the same problem with the new bolt as well.

With the opt rod out of the rifle, install and lock the bolt (push down to hold the bolt in the locked position), then spin the roller.  If you find that the roller will not spin, then the receiver should be corrected (area below the roller milled down).

Since this is a SA, give them a call and just have them resolve the problems for free (life time warranty, even if you are not the original buyer).
Read: Send back the rifle with the old bolt so they can correct it as well.

As for just slapping in a new bolt, as stated, you do need to have the headspace checked.
