So I got a TRW bolt for my springfield M1A.  The roller fell off the one that came with it the first time I field stripped it.  I stripped both and they appear to be the same dimensions.  Do I need to have a gunsmith headspace this thing, or is that only when changing barrels?

If you put in a different bolt, you should have the headspace checked.

Thanks alot Dano.  Checked, and it spins.  Got me thinking though, so I put it in the rearmost position. There was a poorly machined area catching it, I could see and feel the little spot catching it.  Ill just have the gunsmith fix it and set it up.  I dont feel like sending it to illinois and have some bad blood with sai.
