| Anybody got any opinions on the Hatch Operator gloves? They look decent, how is the quality/durability? Thanks guys, have a great Thanksgiving. |
| I have used both the regular and hard knuckle versions, along with the Blackhawk SOLAG at pistol and carbine courses, as well as on duty as a cop, and the solar and HK gloves in Iraq. Out of the 3, I definitely prefer the Hatch HK operator. There is Velcro on the back that allows me to get a snigger fit than on the regular version. Durability is pretty good on all 3. |
| I've had a pair for a few years which I use for mtn biking, out at least three days a week that whole time and they're still in good shape. Contrast that with my range game Oakleys which have holes from maybe a few hours aggregate use, and I'd say they are a nice pair of gloves. |

I would avoid the hard-knuckle versions for pistol work. Why? I haven't had a problem, and if I'm doing pistol work, there's a real possibility I'll have a lower level use use of force, and I like the idea of knuckle protection. My civilian department has had a bunch of cops break hands against criminals' heads. I'm just curious what problem you've had. |

I've gone through about 6 pair of the Shorty Operators. They fit great and it's easy to do a lot of stuff with them on. Problem is that they wear out too quick in my opinion. I wish they lasted longer. Normal farm type work and the palms get holes in them. For the price they should last longer. I go with Mechanix now. CHRIS |
