Were MP5's manufactured by H&K ever available in semi auto?

If so how rare are there and what do they sell for?

Thanks

The FBI used semi auto only MP5's, I am sure other departments in the US have also used them.  I have seen them in both 9mm and in 10mm.  Although they are semi auto, they are still machine guns.  In order to go from semi, to full auto all that is required is exchanging the lower.  No other parts need to be changed or modified.  So if you find one, and it is transferable, the cost will not be lower becasue it has a semi auto only lower and it will require a tax stamp.

At the Los Angeles FBI office there are in fact semi auto only MP5's.  I will look for a picture I have from the range.  I have shot a semi auto only FBI MP5.

BATF's Mp-5's are Mp-5SF models as well with control of the lower trigger group being assigned to key supervisors.  Full auto is available by switching out the group...but just about ALL the time, they are semi auto only as well.

I have shot several BATF Mp-5SF's

My Mp-5 was converted from a H&K94 as well.  Love it and will NEVER sell it.

If you don't need those two particular $3500 letters (H, K) stamped on the side, there are a number of clone makers producing semi auto versions out there. I've had three (all either Special Weapons or Coharie, which really equate to the same VERY CONTROVERSIAL company and owner) clones, and one actual HK94,and have enjoyed the clones every bit as much as I did the HK, for HALF the price!
Having said that, there are MANY people who have had very bad experiences with clone HK-style weapons and would tell you, you'd be better off duct-taping some sticks together, scribbling "HK" on the side in purple crayon, and saying "ehehehehehehehehe!" than buying an actual clone.
HK has been suing the clone makers out of business for the last few years, so if you were interested in going that route, you better hurry.

My two Coharie's:
