Inspired by this thread. That described shotgun is a ChiCom made for $115(add in $25 transfer) and the LGS has an H&R Pardner for $175 which I think was made in Turkey. Putting a rack on the tractor's rollover rack to keep this while bushhogging or cleaning out bushes from fence lines for farm purposes. Doesn't have to be nice, just go bang with a load of #4's and shuck in another round. The biggest plus would be to take 870 accessories such as barrel bands to mount a sling and/or light. The OP in the linked thread has MagPul stocks on his and admitting that they're nice. But, not needed for my purposes. Any advantage to either one? |

Barrels do not interchange with Remington 870s due to the longer +1 mag tube. OP, neither are Turkish, both Chinese production - imported by IAC, H&R, Hurricane Butterfly, & now Blue Line. Reportedly, 870 barrels can be finagled onto the longer magazine tube w/ just a PVC spacer. Not all barrels interchange between different importers for the same reason - slightly different mag tube lengths. |

Same experience here - and Although I have one already to the 870 collection, I want another for the price and have no need really for them other than its an incredible value given Inflation and the tariffs with China upon us. A Hideaway gun! That sounds like a good reason. These are really robust shotguns and IF anything were to break for the most part 870 parts will work (except barrel) |

Many of the Chinese 870 clones are reputed to be good shotguns. But, I have to echo the above. A local gun shop frequently puts the Maverick 88 on sale for $199 (currently on sale at $229) and is as "known quantity" as you're going to get in the ~$200 price range. |
