Trying the help a friend out. He has an original HK 93 w/ sliding stock. His father bought it brand new and they rarely ever shot it. He said it probably doesn't have more than 500 rounds down the barrel. I got to see it last night and take some pictures. I will post them later today. The stampings are as follows:

Left Side:
HK 93
SN: A130xxx
Cal. 223
IB Datecode

Right Side:
Made in Germany
HK Inc.
Arl. Va. 22 201

I have seen these go for 2.5k - 5k but would appreciate any help on getting a good estimate.

I'd say $3000-$3200 max if it has been fired but close to like new,$2500-$2700 if it is in excellent/very good condition.Yes,you see people ask more for them but typically the above prices are what you see them SELL at. I've got the exact same rifle as you––-A3 stock,IB date code but mine came with the original box, test target, hang tag still on the rifle and all accessories–– just like it came the day it was bought.I wouldn't take a penny less than $3500 for mine but that's because I knew the original owner and can 100% verify it is new in box––-along with the obvious condition and hang tag still on the rifle.

Seems like people are trying to Jack the prices up. They sell for $2200-$3000.

Thanks for the replies. Here are the basic pictures. I will be taking some better ones.

Please let me know what type of pictures would help value this fine rifle.

You can buy a 93 all day long in A2 configuration for $2200.00 to $2400.00 in "like new" condition. I see A3's going for around $300.00 more. So, in todays market $2500.00 to $2800.00 would be a reasonable asking price. If you don't believe it just check the Sturm website. Plenty of them there for inflated prices but, the ones selling are in the price ranges I stated. JMHO

Yep. I told him that if he wants to sell it it would at best fetch 3k.

In the 1st set of pics you posted there looks to be some finish wear on the left side of the upper by the handguards so I'd revise my estimate to $2500.
