How does one tell if an GsG-5 is gen 1 or Gen 2?

Is there a Gen 3?

How to tell the difference of what Generation GSG-5 you have.

Not aware of a gen 3 yet.

Is that a different charging handle on the Gen I as well, or aftermarket?

You know, I never noticed it, but not only is the charging handle a bit different, but so is the front eye bolt/sling ring. It appears to be a bit thicker. Camera trick? (unintentional, of course)

Nope, definately thicker, even taking into account the different angle...

The sling eye on my gen II is quite beefy, can't speak of the gen I.
