My shooting partner has a Gen 3 Springfield Scope with the 7.62 calibrated reticle. He is pondering his choices of a new M1A, AR10, or Rem 700. The calibers are the same; yet, there are barrel differences with each model. Which may affect the use of the range finding reticle. I just do not know Would there be any issues or concerns when mounting this scope to the AR10 or Rem700. Thanks in Advance |
Why do you think barrel differences will affect the range finding reticle? The scope is determining the range, not the barrel. If you are talking about velocity, then yes a longer vs shorter barrel will make a difference. Bullet drop should be the same however. I could be wrong. |
The bullet drop won't be the same but it will be similar enough. Probably within the human error of using the reticle. |
