Is the core of the can a part of the barrel ??
If so you will have to take of the handguard to be able to clean the core ,,not only the outer tube ??

And IF you can take the can of ,,what prevents the outer tube to come of before the core ??
I mean if the outer tube is the first that starts to unscrew ,,you will be standing with what you see in this picture  ??
Then you will have to unscrew the core ALONE ?? with the risk of twisting it
Maybe i have missed something ??

Seems like a lot of $$ for a .22 upper. Also, the bright blue anodizing means type II, not the type III hard coat anodizing that some of the other makers use. The baffle structure should be effective (it worked for Green-O). Since they say it's for an m-16 or SBR, it probably is like any other .22 can, just threaded on to a short 5" barrel.

This thing does look like it might be hard to take apart in it's current form.  It looks like the outer tube should come off with a strap wrench which means the finish will probably get marred up.  It looks like the baffle assembly should be able to be unscrewed from the barrel with a spanner wrench.  Maybe the suppressor comes off of the barrel as a unit, and the baffle assembly can be unscrewed with a special tool like the YHM Mite.

All this is just my WAG from just looking at the few pictures of this thing.  It is neat though.  Hopefully, we will learn a little more about it after the show.  I would hope they would offer the T2 can separate from the complete upper as well.  A lot of people out there already have .22 SBR uppers for their AR's.  A 1.375" full auto rated .22 can would be nice for the guys out there with other .22 MGs as well.  I would hope they use type III anodizing also.

I really like it.

The only issue I would have is are they going to stand behind it.  I do not really like the idea of "take apart" cans.  I clean my can per the manufacturers instructions.  It actually scares the shit out of me to take a can apart though.  I like the one piece baffle also.  Looks like a very clean design.

I've been doing a bunch of reading trying to figure out what my first can is going to be...  I've seen a bunch of people say "get a .22lr can first."  However, I'd love to have a can for my AR.  This set up seems like the best of both worlds.  That, and it just looks like a blast!  I gotta wonder though, what makes the T2 so much more then the Spike's set up?

The spikes setup is not a can.

THis is a 16" intregally supressed barell.   That being said, it is a one stamp upper.  I really like Spikes, but if you did not SBR the lower already you will have to.  I like the idea since my wife will probably never shoot anything else.  So why not mount that on her loower and she is good to go.  I can use my other can on my spikes upper if I want.

Gemtech's spec's say that it is 18" overall. Unless the upper receiver is 2 inches long I'm pretty sure this is limited to just SBR's and AR pistols. The suppressor is 7 inches so that's 11 inches worth of receiver and barrel pre-suppressor.

I'm new to the suppressor market...  So I may be reading this wrong, but doesn't it say on Spike's Website that YHM has done a special run of suppressors for there uppers?

They only have fake suppressors.  If YMH manufacture them, they are still fake.

The handguard is almost 1/3 of the price ...plus the barrel, upper and suppressor.  I don't think it is too much.

Actually Spike's has dedicated suppressors made by YHM for their .22LR uppers. I can't find the pics at the moment.

ETA: Here's a pic of the actual YHM suppressor that you can get from Spike. It's called Barking Spider and retails for $299.00. With their 5.5" barrel it extends just past a carbine handguard.

I guess that was my bad.  I read it totally wrong.  My bad.

I already have an SWR can so I until I hear this one upper I will wait to pass judgement.  That changes everything.

**YHM has done a special run of silencers for Spike's Tactical 22lr uppers. The cans are 4.5" long and 1.65" in diameter and a high volume can.

That is all the info the site has.  I was under the impression that they were fake.  I never seen it till now.  I like it.  I'm going to email them for more info.  Thanks Vinesr6 for the correction and getting me up to speed.

Actually, we are going to be offering it with the Ciener modified kit and a magazine. At the time we put up the web page, we did not have a source for the kits, which won't be available for about 5 months as Ciener is backlogged.

I already have a modified Ciener kit.  Can it be done on a customer supplied kit?  If so, could you please email or IM a quote.

As am I...  I'm to lazy to track down parts here and there, I'm a big fan of one-stop shopping.
